Sogorea Te’ Land Trust is an urban Indigenous women-led land trust that facilitates the return of Indigenous land to Indigenous people. Through the practices of rematriation, cultural revitalization, and land restoration, Sogorea Te’ calls on Native and non-native peoples to heal and transform the legacies of colonization, genocide, and patriarchy. Staff is on the land every day, tending the plants, making medicine, and growing their community.

CARE (COMFORT WOMEN ACTION FOR REDRESS & EDUCATION)

CARE is a community organization that focuses on advocacy and education regarding “comfort women,” the girls and women coerced into institutionalized sexual slavery and human trafficking by the Japanese military during the first half of the twentieth century. CARE provides and supports educational and historical initiatives and ongoing redress efforts.
